Colorful day

It’s raining outside. That sucks. I don’t like rain. Or at least not the European rain. Call me prejudiced, but I don’t mind tropical monsoons at all! But hey, can’t change the weather, so there’s no use moaning about it.

Luckily, I just got a tweet that brought me a lot of sunshine. I got a message from Miko Design that I was a winner of her party-package-giveaway! Hooray! I can’t wait to receive the package. And it means I have to host a party soon, of course.

And as I was browsing around Pinterest, I realised my moodboards are a great sunshine-giver as well. You can say all you want about Pinterest (that it’s a women’s thing, that it brings about many copyrightproblems, that you can use it as spam), but it does make me happy. Looking at my boards, I notice that I really, really like color. More than I thought I did. I don’t think I would’ve thought my page would look the way it does know. Apparently, I’m a sucker for romantic colors and soft colors. Who knew? I’m also a sucker for flowers (but that I did already know) and I’m a sucker for prints and patterns. Actually, looking at my page, it looks quite chaotic and messy, don’t you think? But somehow it does reflect me exactly as I am… Oh dear.

I know it’s something that grows and changes over time (taste changes, that’s a fact). In fact, when I look back at older pins, I already see some pins that I like less now than when I pinned them. But still, looking at my pins, they make me happy, and that’s what counts!

So what is a real sunshine-giver for you? And what do you learn about yourself when you take a good look at your Pinterest-page?
