I like crafting. Yes, I do! I like working with my hands, making things, going from nothing to something. As my attentionspan isn’t extremely long so I need different kinds of things as creative outlets. Well, good thing Lisa Manuels offers a wide range of crafting-workshops! You can learn anything you want, from embroidery to crochet, from making books to stamps, from making buttons to painting cups and plates.
I’m such a big fan of Elle Aime, which is the name of Lisa’s shop where all the workshops take place. And to top it off, she even organised a real Summer Crafternoon recently. A whole bunch of creative crafters got together to chat and make things inbetween eating homemade pies and drinking fresh lemonade. It was so much fun!
I’ve done six workshops with Lisa already, and I’m looking forward to doing many more. Funnily enough, people starting asking me if I gave workshops too. The answer was always ‘no’. I mean, sure, I’ve thought about it a couple of times, but never seriously. Until I suddenly thought ‘well, why not?’. So I finally thought about it seriously, and today the idea was finished and ready to get out there.
So if you’d like to make something from old paper or other materials, then check out this page. I can’t promise it’ll be as much fun as a workshop at Elle Aime (and I definitely won’t promise to make the same delicious pies), but I’ll certainly try! I hope to see you on Saturday, September 8th!
